Every atom in the universe can be thought of as a little fuzzy ball of electric charge- with a positive charge in the middle, and a negative charge on the surface*. Atoms are all spinning constantly through space- they never stop moving and when they move their electrical nature creates a magnetic field. Even when these are too small to have a measurable effect, it is this electrical quality of attraction and repulsion that creates the building blocks of the world - matter, chemistry, light.
Luigi Galvani discovered the biological uses of electricity by making frog legs twitch in experiments conducted in the 1780s. While he didn't use the term, he discovered that it was the electrical polarity inherent in the way cells are built (with a negative charge inside and a positive surface - a bit like the atom in reverse). We experience electricity when we touch something, when we move a muscle or change a thought. Key cells in our body, from our brain cells to our nerve and muscle cells, act on electrical impulses in order to quickly pulse their polarity from positive to negative and communicate with other cells. We call this pushing and pulling action Depolarization and Repolarization.
Every cell in your body is a tiny electro-magnetic field involved in this pushing and pulling movement of electro-chemical information. Every organ has a field in its own right made up of the totals of all the specialized cells and their fields that make up the tissue of the liver, the lungs and so on. The two most important electrical organs in the human body are the brain and the heart. Each of these can produce a large enough electromagnetic field to be detected by modern medical equipment. The Heartmath Institute has shown that there is more communication between the heart and brain in the form of electrical, pressure, magnetic and electromagnetic signals than between the brain and the heart. Despite the buzz our thoughts create in our minds, it is actually the heart that is the more powerful electric generator; its activity creates a magnetic field which can be detected way beyond the skin at a strength about one-millionth of the Earth's resonance . In some ways, our heart is our first brain. Because your blood is a good conductor, the circulatory system pulses with electricity each time the heart beats - spreading our frequency though the body and out into our environment in a primitive form of thought that we call "emotion". If thoughts are brain waves, then emotions could just as well be called "heart-waves".
We are connected to our environment via the electromagnetic waves our heart produces. The feelings we have affect others without us saying or doing anything. This means that negative or disharmonious frequencies in our environments can directly affect our physical and emotional well-being by disrupting our natural, coherent brain and heart-waves and leading to emotional and even physical pain.
At Spirit of Knockmany, when we create Orgonites, conduct healing work, or even spend time in the beauty of nature, we are intentionally working towards supporting you to achieve greater coherence in thought and emotion, balancing the polarities of good and bad to create a harmonious balance.
